Apple Festival 2000

Compatriots, Another great day of showing the flag at the Lincoln County Apple Festival. We sold several gross of Battle Flags, dozens of Lincoln County Greatness tee-shirts, raffled off a Spiller and Burr pistol...it was a great day. Special thanks to all those who helped man the booth. I won't list them here because I fear I would leave out someone, but I will say special thanks to Quartermaster Buddy Funderburke for hauling everthing, and Frank Nolen and his helper (I can never remember those boys names) who hung in with me all day and helped pack everything away. Also, Terry Helms for adding a little bit of 1st NC Artillery color. Stan Clardy came by and played and sang for about 4 hours. Really drew the crowds. We took in around $2700.00. Will give a full accounting at the next meeting. We have been recruiting like crazy and have been receiving about 4 new members a month. Keep putting the word out. If anybody wants to order one of the long sleeved, Henley shirts with our Lincoln County Generals, let me know your size. I am putting together another order shortly.
